Dear Diary, is that what you call a blog-journal?
My name is Sienna and I am 11. I live with my Mum and 2 brothers in London – I’m not going to write any more personal details online.
Today is Lockdown 2.0 Eve! Tomorrow we go back into Lockdown again – and honestly, I’m pretty stressed about it. So I thought I’d use this space to think about everything, ‘process’ my thoughts and somehow try to get through all this. Alison, my friend from Kid’s Church, said that if I put my thoughts on-line, it might help other people too. So that’s what I’m doing. Please feel free to reply in the comments.
These are my BIG worries about this second Lockdown:
1) How will Mum get all the Christmas shopping done if most of the shops are shut?
2) What if schools close? Who will look after us if Mum still has to go to work?
3) What if the lockdown goes on for more than a month? (This is my biggest fear – I so don’t want that to happen!!)
My positive for the day. (My teacher said I need to find one good thing everyday to hold on to.)
Perfect Love casts out all fear!
That’s a verse in the Bible, we had to learn it in Kid’s Church. I guess I’m still trying to learn that one, because my fears are still here! Alison told us that Jesus loved us enough to die for us and rise again. A love that is bigger than death should be bigger than everything I’m afraid of. I’m going to try hard to remember that, and I'll let you know how it goes.
What are your fears, and what are your positive thoughts for today?
